Dr. Maha Achour is a highly accomplished executive recognized in the Forbes 50/50 Vision list for her expertise in deep technology. With over 30 years of experience in deep-tech startups, she specializes in sustainability, autonomous mobility, and AI. Maha excels at leading cross-functional teams and driving technology growth and is actively involved as a Board and Investment Committee member in mobility and sustainability funds. Her strong analytical and mathematical/scientific modeling capabilities enabled her to successfully commercial deep-tech technologies while focusing on solutions that meet challenging commercial requirements.
Maha is also a Venture Partner at Chakra Growth Fund, and also serves on the Board of TASARU Mobility Investment. Previously, she founded and led Metawave Corporation, and co-founded and was the CTO of Rayspan Corporation, commercializing metamaterial technology. She holds a Ph.D. in Physics from MIT and has authored over 35 publications and holds over 350 patents in advanced technology fields.

Professor Neil Ghani, a world-leading authority in Applied Category Theory. Previously, he was a Research Consultant at Google DeepMind, where he focused on Categorical Deep Learning. As a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Strathclyde since 2008, he previously served as Head of Department, significantly boosting its research profile and securing over £4M in grants. With extensive experience leading AI/ML initiatives, Professor Ghani's work is at the forefront of applying category theory to advanced machine learning and strategic decision-making.
Professor Ghani's research is supported by significant funding, including grants for projects such as "A Correct by Construction Approach to Approximate Computation" and "Homotopy Type Theory: Programming and Verification," totaling over £2.9M from prestigious bodies like EPSRC and the National Physical Laboratory. His selected publications cover diverse topics, including "Approximate Game Theory" and "Categorical Foundations of Gradient-Based Learning," showcasing his contributions to Applied Category Theory and Computer Science. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Edinburgh and degrees from the University of Oxford.

Dr. Toby Smithe is a mathematically-minded research scientist known for his ability to deeply analyze complex systems. He holds a Ph.D. from Oxford University, where he introduced new structures to probability theory and computational neuroscience. His career spans both industry and academia, with a consistent focus on AI and applied category theory.
Previously, he was a Senior Research Scientist at VERSES AI, Inc., leading the Formal Methods research group, and a Research Fellow at the Topos Institute. Toby's experience includes co-founding a quantitative trading startup (QuantAMM) that raised $1M in seed funding. He has also worked as a consultant in category theory and machine learning and as a GPGPU Acceleration Researcher. His publications appear in venues such as the International Workshop on Active Inference (IWAI) and the International Applied Category Theory Conference (ACT).

Sr. VP Product Dev
Dr. Andy Gill is a highly experienced software systems architect with deep expertise in AI software stacks, compiler construction, systems engineering, and domain-specific language design. He has a proven track record of translating theory into practical applications, scaling teams, and possesses excellent communication skills. With a career spanning both industry and academia, he is adept at bootstrapping technical initiatives in diverse environments.
Previously, Andy served as a Principal Engineer at Rain Inc, where he led the compiler team for a new compute-in-memory architecture and initiated the AI compute project.
Dr. Gill previously held key roles at Cerebras Systems, Google, and was an Associate Professor at the University of Kansas. As a co-founder of Galois Inc in the early 2000s, he helped grow the company to over 35 employees with multiple revenue streams. His research has been supported by significant funding from the NSF and US DoD, and he has numerous publications in top venues.
